I am so proud of this team. This was such an amazing accomplishment! Watching the team present their internal proposal seeking organizational approval to submit the application and buy in was truly inspiring. This Rehab team has passion for the special work they do and our community is blessed because of them. 🙏

Congratulations to Dazaray Crawford, Kettering Health Washington Township's DAISY Award winner! Dazaray is a nurse in Med-Surg. She was nominated by a patient, who shared: "Dazaray leaped into action when I came back from surgery. My bladder was hurting, and she quickly retrieved everything I needed for a pure wick. She acted quickly and with compassion. Every time she came into my room, she made me feel cared for and special. She deserves this award very much. I also feel it is special to mention that when she left for the evening, she told me she loved me and that touched my heart greatly." Way to show your patients you care, Dazaray!

This Hospital Week, we celebrated and rallied with our team: the one who faces each day with determination and compassion. We shared in the celebration with events, games, food, and giveaways throughout the week at each of our campuses. To each employee who serves our patients every day: Thank you. You make a difference in our communities and improve people's lives.

Congratulations to Heather Boggs, Kettering Health Dayton's DAISY Award winner! Heather was nominated by a patient's family member, who shared:"Heather is an extraordinary nurse who is true to her calling (being a nurse)! She goes above and beyond for her patients and families! She has shown this many times during my grandfather's stay. When he had a medical emergency, she was on top of it. She advocated for him to ensure his needs and concerns were met. He spent his 89th birthday in the hospital, and she made sure it was special! She and her team got him cake, balloons, and a card. Then the team filled his room and sang him Happy Birthday! He told us that these kind gestures made his day very special.Thank you, Heather, for listening to your calling! Your patients are blessed to have you!"Way to be there for your patients, Heather!

#NursesWeek is drawing to a close, and we couldn't be more grateful for the nurses in our system who show up every day and work tirelessly to ensure our patients are well cared for. This week, we held a series of events for nurses on each of our campuses, including food, fun, photos, and blessings of the hands. Though the week is ending, our appreciation is not. Please take a moment to thank a nurse for the ways they bring health, hope, and healing to our community: https://lnkd.in/gNZUYJFd
