HENRY Cavill has been cast out of his lead Netflix role in a shocking move.
Netflix announced that the actor will not star in the last two seasons of a fan-favorite fantasy series.

The Witcher will end after Season 5, giving fans two more seasons to watch their favorite show.
Netflix announced the news on April 18.
But, the show did give fans a little bit of hope - they've already started production on Season 4.
Season 5 will be shot back to back with Season 4, and both will mainly follow the last three of Andrzej Sapkowski’s books - Baptism of Fire,The Tower of the Swallow,andLady of the Lake.

However, those who want to see Henry, 40, return as Geralt of Rivia might be disappointed.
He is being replaced by Liam Hemsworth in the main role.
“It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia," creator and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich told the streamer.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring Andrzej Sapkowski’s books to an epic and satisfying conclusion. It wouldn’t be our show if we didn’t push our family of characters to their absolute limit — stay tuned to see how the story ends.”

Season 4 will pick up with Geralt, Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), and Princess Ciri (Freya Allan).
They split up after what happened in Season 3 and are leading their own groups of misfits.

During this time, the three leaders find themselves again and then try to find their way back to each other.
The show explores the legend of these three characters on a landmass known as The Continent.
Geralt is a mutated monster hunter for hire.
Season 4 will have a few new characters as well.

Laurence Fishburne from The Matrix will join The Witcher as Regis, a world-wise barber-surgeon with a mysterious past.
Shartlo Copey will play the bounty hunter Leo Bonhart while James Purfoy will take on the role of Skellen, Emhyr’s court advisor and spy.
Danny Woodburn is playing Zoltan, who is a dwarf from the books and video games.
LAYING DOWN MY SWORD
Henry announced his departure from The Witcher in October 2022.
"Some news to share from The Continent…" he began his Instagram post.
"My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4."
"In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf," Henry announced.

Liam shared this excitement for the role on the same day.
Writing that because he is a massive fan of The Witcher, he was "over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt."
He went on to praise Henry and said that he was amazing in the role and is honored that he is letting Liam take the reigns.

Although Henry didn't mention why he was leaving at the time, he can now focus on being a dad.
He revealed earlier this week that his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso, is pregnant with their first child.
